Showbiz and prostitution

In order to find a career in the world of Ivorian showbiz, and especially in the song, many

Ivorian singers do not hesitate to prostitute themselves with their producer.
On the Ivorian music scene, there are many singers who are therefore free produce in exchange of course, sex. These unscrupulous artists laugh madly comments that might arise later. But the difficult road to glory does not, unfortunately, on the bed of producers. It is also the same way with journalists, leaders and managers. Thus, to benefit articles, radio-TV transition or to enjoy a few shows, they are open to all players of showbiz.

An article in People Ivoria
n’s magazine indicates that the current trend has increased, whereas 70% of female artists prostitute with their producers and that 10% of them pass through the bed of journalists, radio and television managers .

To find a place in an orchestra or make an album was a privilege virtually inaccessible. However, to access this benefit, there was a price to pay. And, as the subjects did not have money, they offered sex in exchange.
Prostitution is seen as unavoidable for the artist who wishes to pursue a great career. From another point of view, we must also remember: prostitute to any producer is not a guarantee that it will hold its promise.

Sexual tourism

Sexual tourism refers to a person who travel to have sexual relation with people, most of the time with a financial remuneration.

This relation can be between a prostitute or habitants, who seek themselves sexual relations to have money, because they are poor.Sexual tourism concern essentially Western countries men who travel in developing country. But Western women take also “vacation” in Africa (Senegal, Madagascar, Cape Verde, Tunisia, Morocco, Gambia, Kenya, Tanzania) or in the Caribbean islands (formerly Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Bahamas, Puerto Rico) where young men live by offering their services. Clients are generally from Western Europa, China or Korea.

The country most frequently targeted are the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil and some European countries of east and North Africa, most recently Cuba. Some countries like Brazil

Thailand and Morocco have recently introduced policies to fight against this phenomenon often considered immoral or degrading.

country target by sexual tourism

country where clientes are from

country designated like privilaged destination to prostitution and where clients come from

city with many sexual prostitution

Some countries like France, Canada and Belgium have create some laws to punish themselves people how had relation for hire in another country.

Every year 850 millions persons travel in the world, 10 % of them choice their destination for sexuel offer, according to a report of the 2 june 2007 during a the First Global day on responsible tourism. Prostitution is considerated today like the third trade in black market.

Clientes justify themselves with simply and falses justifications like :

“ In this country is different, they love us”

“Sexuality is natural in them culture”

“With us, they can live and eat”

Sad reality...

... because we knows that often clients don’t care about prostitute age, if they are major or not, consenting or not.

We can find two types of profile, quidam and pedophile regressive. Quidam is a occasionally cliente, after a drink or a drug, who accept a sexual relation very cheap. This people are often a man, married with a good job and his family in his country  who want a new pleasure. To conclude, it’s a man feeling powerful because he have money. After, we have pedophile regressive, who have frequently access to child prostitution to have a relation, illegal in their country. Some boys believe that they are protected of AIDS.

ASIA

Asia is the area the most touched by sexual tourism. In Thailand, there are 2 billons of prostitute and 300 000 are minor. Every year, more than 800 000 tourists went to profite of these young prostitutes. In Cambodia, 44 % of prostitute had their first relation with an Occidental, met in bars or nightclubs. In Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia sex industry represent between 2 to 14 % of GDP of these countries.

"Prostitutes are everywhere, customers anywhere “

-     13% of male adults, have at least bought the services of a prostitute.

-    63,8% of customers attend occasional prostitute

This topic is just about customer’s male because of the lack of information about the women customers

According to Bouamama Said customers come from all age groups, the majority (47.6%) between 30 and 50 years old. These men are divorced or married, 69.8% live or have lived with a woman and more than half, 55.5% are fathers. He suggests that the financial aspect could brake the use of the prostitution, for those of certain social categories. These are men who have sex partners who are the primary clients of prostitution

Everybody could be a “customer”, but, analysis identified some pictures :

-                     The married man who does not want to take a mistress,

-                     The single which sees women as "wasteful and expensive"

-                     Shy clients, with emotional isolation (maybe marked by failures in love)

-                     Managers, employees and entrepreneurs

There are many potential customers. Then we wonder the impact that the trivialization and diversification of pornographic images and videos on a number of people...

 Witticisms (anecdotes):

......................            In Cambodia, a 17 year old prostitute was arrested by her own customer, a police man because of a raid.  Even though prostitution is illegal in Cambodia, many brothels operate under the protection of local police officers. And a large part of their customers are policemen.

.....................          Since January 1, Norway have punished customers but not the prostitute.

.....................         Mister Ambiel the communications adviser of the Prime Minister be arrested with a small Romanian prostitute in his BMW!

....................          The prosecutor of Nice decided to take the case to grips. The idea is to "fight against the demand for prostitution,. Also, he brought criminal charges for soliciting against seven customers.

Sneep case in the Netherlands

« Sneep” is the codename of the Dutch criminal brigade who investigated the case from 2005.

Two of the main brother suspects (37 and 42 years old), who are of Turkish –German origin, put many (at least 120) young women from southern and the east Europe to work as prostitutes in various towns in the Netherlands and in Germany.
In ten years, according to investigators, brothers have done
19 million euros in profit placed by their own mother in nightclubs, brothels and on bank account.
Accused of trafficking in women, Hassan and Saban Baran, were sentenced to two and seven years in prison.
Women were seduced by promises of work end gift. Then, once arrived in Germany or Netherlands, men confiscated their passports. Supervised all the time by pimps, other prostitutes and drivers, they couldn’t have contact with the outside. Moreover, most of women was beaten.

In the Netherlands, prostitution has been Tolerated for centuries and was legalized in 2000.
From 2005, large cities like Amsterdam have found that trafficking of women had reached
alarming proportions, because of the lack of real control.
Today the Netherlands is a hub for international trafficking in human beings.

Long way to go; monitoring and intimidation of women and families, prevent all possible evidence (so no prosecutions) and prevent dismantling of network traffic.
And for a trafficker or a pimps arrested, two are ready to take over
